The Golden Ticket Weekend

Globe Business College Munich is a private business college in Munich, founded in 2006, that offers unique business education to a niche group of students: the sons and daughters of Mittelstand or family company owners around the world. Students graduate with an accredited business degree, but the real value in our education is the unique exchange process that takes students out of their comfort zone and develops their character and skill.

Powered by the college’s unique relationship-based educational model, the Golden Ticket Weekend is a distilled version of what we do at the degree level. This short one or two-day experience takes students off their phones, out of their comfort zone, and creates awareness of the need for ongoing character and skill development in a world increasingly driven by tech.

Procrastination, perfectionism, lack of focus, motivation or self-confidence are all explored under the guidance of expert mentors and coaches so the participants personally develop.

The Event

On the 30^th of March, 2023, Globe Business College Munich brought The Golden Ticket experience to the students of Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz. The students were put through a condensed, one-day workshop focused on character development and personal growth, wrapped up in the context of growing their business knowledge.

Special Guest and Mentor, actor Karl Quinn, joined us on this trip to coach the students on body language and presentation skills.

The Golden Ticket taught us about teamwork – working together with people you usually don’t work with while getting an introduction to university and business life. I learned that business isn’t as easy as it sounds. Character-based skills are also more important in the real world than you may think. I would recommend this experience to other students because it will definitely challenge you, especially with time management.

Our Mentorship Team

The Golden Ticket is run by a professional team of lecturers, Globe Business College faculty, and visiting VIP mentors. These mentors specialise in public speaking, confidence, and personal presentation skills. They use interactive methodologies to provide an experience and exclusive insight to their professional processes.

At Lyrceum Alpinum Zuoz, we welcomed Irish actor Karl Quinn as our VIP Mentor. Karl is most recently known for playing John Flynn on the Irish TV Show Holding. Karl has an extensive list of credits to his name in theatre, film and television.

From our work with young people since 2006, both at the college level and as part of the Golden Ticket Programme, we have seen the rise of character issues like procrastination, perfectionism, lack of self-confidence, demotivation, and limited focus. These traits can hamper the next generation from developing the skills needed for life and academic achievement.

We Continue to Support Your Child With

Progression Pathways

As the Golden Ticket Programme is a part of the assessment to join the Bachelor, Bridging, or three-month Gap Year Foundation Programmes at our college in Munich, students who have completed the one-day Golden Ticket Programme at Zuoz (and who successfully complete the relevant school qualification) have preferential progression pathways to study at our college.

Continued Learning

Students who completed the one-day Golden Ticket Programme gain access to our online community where they meet other students from around the world, participate in our Date with the Dean VIP interview series, and engage in many fun, uplifting activities. We continue to help them with character and skill development, networking, and support in their educational and professional goals.

I attended the Sunday event for the parents and watched the presentations. I couldn’t believe it was my daughter. It was like as if someone had turned on a lightbulb inside of her. She was engaged, focused and really passionate about what she was delivering.

They didn’t stop talking about the experience from the Friday to Sunday which is not normal for our teen. They then joined the community and all the interactive sessions and it's like as if they relive the weekend every time. I have the feeling the learning is getting deeper as I see new habits starting to form.
