Bringing companies, schools and colleges together around character and skill development for the young leaders of tomorrow

The International School Augsburg

Our team travelled to the International School Augsburg on October 22 and 23, 2022 to present The Golden Ticket Weekend sponsored by uvex.

Twenty-one IBCP students joined us on Saturday and Sunday on their home campus. The students were put through a rigorous weekend of presentation skills, public speaking, branding, marketing, teamwork, leadership, and time management. The team focused on character and skill development on five key traits: bigger picture thinking, time management, empathetic exchange, grit, passion, and determination and communication.

On Sunday we introduced participants to additional visiting guest companies interested in new talent such as Volkswagen AG, Data Insights, Talente fuer die Region, and Siemens. Representatives were able to experience reverse mentorship by talking to the students, as well as look for potential interns and apprentices during the presentations and post-event networking, addressing a critical HR need.

Our Mentorship Team

In addition to the top academic team from Globe Business College, we bring in key mentors and business leaders to each workshop as well as a judging panel of industry experts and company owners for the final presentations.

Chris Kaiser, the founder of Click A Tree, has a passion for sustainable entrepreneurship. He not only plants trees, but actively fights climate change, builds habitats for endangered animals, and creates jobs with full-time income for local communities. He has lived on and worked in five continents and is responsible for planting over 120,000 trees in fifteen countries, thanks to more than 500 global partners.

Chris Kaiser stands in a field wearing a green shirt. The print on the shirt is a tree with an arrow up to a pair of human lungs and 02 (for oxygen) above the arrow. The shirt also features a slogan. Chris is holding a machete in one hand a tree sapling in the other as he plants trees in a remote Asian field

What the Participants are Saying

The generation that attends the Golden Ticket Weekend will be the golden one. They can always get a job. But will they be the person who makes a difference and is more than just a quick fix for a company? To do so they have to know and develop who they are, their personality, and be willing to learn as well as reflect upon that information, and how they act within their learning. They have to develop the knowledge of how to be a leader, to give more than they get, and to concentrate on the values of development. This is what they learn here. This is what Globe Business College and the Golden Ticket delivers in this weekend.
'What I found amazing was their self-reflection. One team member said their team difficulties were because of him. He was the problem and he had to overcome his ego. He did. The self-reflection was outstanding.'
Parent of ISA Student
'I came to the weekend being very honest that I have problems focusing under stress. I was the leader of the group, which added more stress and made it difficult to cope. In the end, with my team and mentors, I learned to overcome my stress and that was great.'
Mia Müller, Student
'From a child's perspective the weekend was exciting. The team was speaking about the gap between business and the real world, and what education provides. The skill development was what connected the two together for them, and it also gives them a lot of confidence.'
Parent of ISA Student
'This weekend helped me to boost my confidence while speaking. I also learned how to better convey my ideas to my team. And we won!'
Tyler Suit, Student
